I honestly don't know. I question whether it should be illegal - I think that's generally counterproductive - though I think it likely should be regulated. People who claim that its effects are negligible are, from what I know, fooling themselves; and advocates of prohibition are also fooling themselves that law alone can stop marijuana use. My inclination - subject to change as I learn more - is that it should be a regulated legal product that is taxed at a very high rate to discourage use, particularly among young people. But again, I'm not sure.

For the record, when legalization was on the Massachusetts ballot in November, 2016, I voted for it. (I've lived in Israel for over 27 years but my US absentee ballot is from Massachusetts.)
