The are numerous hints that midda which merited Yehuda to be the ruler of the brothers was his admission of "צדקה ממני." A true leader is the one who feels like the country's problems are his very own, if nothing more than a sign of how invested he is! Bibi is treating these tragedies as "another person's problem."
Good news is that bibi is basically gone anyways on account of his failures if security with me which caused Oct 7th and israel's already turned on him. He's only still in so not to distract from the focus of the war...
I hope you're correct (and I personally don't see elections as a distraction from the war, I think the IDF can function in wartime even with elections taking place). I just don't know how much damage Bibi can cause in the 2 /12 years until there are new elections... unless the government falls earlier, which would be great IMO.
The way I understand it is that elections will automatically remind everyone of the internal strife which will weaken the unity which is so crucial during war time. It's not just about the IDF; is about the moral of the country which affects the mindset of the fighters. It could be I'm wrong but this is what a lot of people seem to be saying. So much so (to bring out the point) that the American left - anti America anti democracy anti capitalism anti Israel idiots - those people, say that bibi has an incentive to prolong the war to keep himself in power because he knows they after this is over he is done for, and this is part of their genocide narrative.
Excellent article. Netanyahu had to stop thinking he is king.
Thanks for a great, thoughtful read!

Jews ought not participate in Pagan Nonsense like that anyway.
